SMS Backup & Restore on Android 2.3/Gingerbread?

Hi everybody!

I am contemplating on buying myself the new Samsung Galaxay S2 with Gingerbread OS on it....

But I have a shitload of textmessages, that are important for me, and that I would like to keep them all.

So I would like to know if this application (wich works perfectly on my HTC Desire) would allow me to restore the files from the app onto the new OS?
I already have a xml file stored on the sd card from my Desire, so the program would work on the new Gingerbread allow me to restore all my tekst messages so I can see em in the sms application?

I'm using SMS Backup+ on my HTC Desire with Gingerbread (Android OS v2.3.4).
Just install it on Desire, do the backup to the Cloud, then use the same application on SGS2 to restore SMS (you need to be logged into your Google account).
