I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 S7272 mobile phone and when i try to send
a long SMS, a message appears saying 'Mobile data is disabled, the message
will be send when mobile data is on' and is not sending it. I have Mobile data off to cut the expensive internet connections. Why is doing this and what should i do to fix it?

You probably have a setting to send long SMS as MMS. Check in your messaging app's settings and turn that off and you should be OK.

I'm not familiar with your phone but normally there is a setting to allow MMS even if data connection is turned off. What it does is turn on data connection temporarily just to allow the MMS through. Or maybe the APN settings for MMS is wrong.
