Help SMS Message layout different?

Why is my sms layout different, the attachment icon is on the left instead of the right making the text box much smaller?

No idea. Does it have anything to do with having the different keyboard? Or has it always been that way? I don't see anything in the settings to change it. Is it a carrier thing maybe?

Changed keyboard to stock still same. I have the international model does that make a difference?

I've got the International version and its on the right so its not that!
