Is it just me, or does this app not mark new texts as read when clicking close or quick replying?

I've got the "mark read" setting turned on.

Have you turned off the default SMS app notifications completely?

It's always been like that.. That's really the only reason I don't use it.

Just use the SMS Popup notification and it'll mark the messages as read.

Same here. I'd also like to see the sender's text while replying in quick reply..

Maybe try Handcent, it has Popups with the message and marks as read when back key is pressed.
