Have queried HTC if the Desire has the ability to change the length of time it tries to send SMS before failing (called 'validity' on Nokia) and they have come back in the negative.
This is essential as very often I send something which is only relevant there and then, not the next day when the recipient turns their phone back on or returns from holiday!
Is there something which can be written to work around this? Or does something exist?
