Snapchat App will not open

Snapchat was working fine and one day it wouldn't open and almost a year later still won't. Ive cleared cache,data,powered off on reset & uninstalled and reinstalled still won't work!
 
Did you do the following?

Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > Snapchat > Storage > Clear Cache

I do not use Snapchat. I have used ChompSMS for years. It is one of the two apps I subscribe to.

Someone else was reporting the same issue with Snapchat yesterday, also reading through very recent Play Store reviews there's quite a few howling as well with similar issues. Franklly it sounds like Snapchat could have broken their app on certain phones with a recent update. Maybe worth shooting them an email about it.
 
Down grade your phones software until Snapchat updates bug fixes. Aka factory reset. Don't update software until all your apps get fixes or something is bound not to work. Especially Android Pie. Still experimental and some Carriers pushing bugged version...cough T-Mobile....
 
FYI Snapchat was updated on 11th Feb. So maybe they've fixed the above reported issues now? I don't use Snapchat myself, so can't really comment any more than that

Not on pie aka Android 9. Only Oreo aka Android 8.0 Had pie, stuck on log in screen. Using Oreo works fine.

As of Feb 16th 2019 was the case. Not upgrading to pie for retest. So someone with pie will have to test. Not going to update to pie for at least 6 months to get rid of bug's.
