I opened my Snapchat chat to open a message I was sent and Snapchat asked me to upgrade to read said message. I upgraded and, when I got back, the message was lost.
I read a Snapchat recovery solution to recover images and videos sent to you which you can't display again. I was instructed to download a File manager, check my cache and find them (hidden folders). All I had to do was rename the files (i.e remove the nomedia extension) and they will be viewed.
I removed the extension, but the pictures just show the generic picture thumbnail and, when I try to open it, it displays "No thumbnail".
My Android recognises them as pictures/videos (jpegs and mp4s, respectively), but it does not open.
Is there a software or a means to build these?
