SNES/PSX emulator

Hi,

I would like to buy a tablet to play old games and watch movies, and i have some doubts about emulation:

1-How much RAM and processing is needed to play Playstation 1 and Super Nintendo games on a android tablet? Is the 256MB RAM and 800MHZ processor of a ebay generic tablet ( like this one - New 7" Google Android 2.2 Tablet PC Netbook UMPC MID W | eBay ) sufficient ?

2-Is it possible to use USB controllers (for instance http://tinyurl.com/usbpadpsx ) with the tablet? They are plug-and-play, just like a USB keyboard.

Really thanks for the help,

You will need 1 Ghz and around 528 MB of RAM for smooth gameplay and nice video playback. USB controllers will only work with Honeycomb 3.1, so Android 2.2 doesn't support it. However, Wiimotes uses bluetooth for connection so you can use one of those.

You wont be able to use the psx controller unless the tablet has USB host enabled on it. Psx3 controllers are Bluetooth but have a proprietary connection so connecting by normal Bluetooth wont work. I use the datel wireless wiimote as it has all the needed buttons for psx and you do not need usb host.
Snes games would run fine and most psx games will be ok untill you get into the heavy 3d games. My opinion look to see if the tablet has a developer backing on here or xda. That way you can see if they have added in things like USB host or overclocking.

im going to buy the nook color next month. Here are the complete specs https://nookdeveloper.barnesandnoble.com/product/nook-color-specs.html
im sure it will run psx at really good speeds (you can also overclock it) fpse for android should allow you to run it all at smooth fps trust me =)
snes runs smooth as well, and if by any chance your interested soon their going to re-release n64oid and its said to have alot of speed tweaks, and really good compatibility, sounds promising. The best part is that its really cheap compared to other tablets, its originally a book reader but when hacked it makes an amazing tablet for about 200-250.
