So apparently I have an Audiovox Desire...?

Can someone else (with a Droid Eris) with Asurion insurance check what type of device is listed when they go to the asurion site?

Mine is listed as a Audiovox Desire... Although my old phone was an Audiovox...

I was just wondering if anyone else's eris is listed wrongly and if I should do anything about it...



The deductable went up after switching to the Eris, but yeah...

I guess with the HTC Desire coming out, I should see if I can file a claim and get something better than the Eris? :p
 
Hmmm... When the Incredible comes out, maybe I should call in and report it lost and see if they send me the Incredible... The HTC Desire is supposed to have similar specs to the Incredible, right?

If I do report it lost, do I have to switch to the phone they send me...? :p

It all depends how you feel about insurance fraud and your willingness to go to jail if caught versus your desire to have the latest device :D

to the OP, sounds like you have the incorrect insurance option on your account. call in and verify. also, htc has put out phones under the audiiovox brand, soooooooooooo...................................................
 
kmw, as soon as you report the phone as lost/stolen to asurion they will add it to a negative list of esns that cannot be activated until removed. So in essence you would need to switch to the new phone because the old one would no longer be active as it would be suspended for the said lost/stolen report

Did you ever get your replacement? Please tell... Because I am having the same issue, only mine is with the Motorola droid being replaced by Audiovox Desire. It is supposed to come in on monday, and I am really worried I am going to end up with an eris... I could accept the sub for a desire, but not for an eris...
 
looking at the HTC site, the eris isn't even listed anymore, I guess the desire is it's replacement?
 
I filed my claim for my eris today, which is supposedly not available as of today. Says theirs sending me some audiovox phone. hopefully the phone thats replacing the eris? Doubt it but its coming in tomorrow.
 
Well I just called them, they say it's the same phone. My deductible is only $50 and I only pay $5.99... I guess I'm in a loophole or something? lol
