So, Fake News is Not News...

Trump's tweets claiming that Obama spied on him would seem to be an obvious example. Of course the fact that he made this claim, designed to distract media attention, at the point where his staff's contacts with Russia (and lying under oath about that) was a big story was surely a strategy rather than a coincidence (same as his excluding mainstream news organisations from a press meeting as that story was picking up steam). Which means that as long as people talk about that then he's achieved what he set out to do.

Fox's claims about riots in Sweden. Fox's claims the previous year that the second biggest city in the UK is a Muslim-only enclave. Fox's claims yesterday that the UK spied on Trump Tower on Obama's behalf. Anyone spotting a pattern here?

Maybe you dont know, but Trumps post have a big influence on the world politics. For example, he had same conflicts with turkish ambassador and tweet some opinion about that. After this turkish lira dropped a few units. And for Elon Musk. His opinion is only one tool that promote Tesla company. By the way, this and other articles/news/overview you can read here: **mod removed irrelevant link**. Fake news is not a news, but very often fake news provide a lot of panic.

Do you not see them stemming from your 'Blue Wave' ppl? Full of liars and political scam artists

http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/10/...-negotiate-president-trump-outnumbered-reacts
Nancy Pelosi is admitting what we’ve known all along – that the countless investigations Democrats are threatening to launch are baseless and totally political.

open you eyes.... read.
read facts... not crap the GOP and Repubs and fox news puts out.

I try to read everything from all sides but all I see in AF anymore is you making everything a whine-a-thon about Trump in every thread and nothing but insults of ppl come outta your mouth while you 'can't see the Forest for the trees' and your one sided perspective in politics. Ya don't seem to like it when ppl in your political alignment do messed up stuff and get called out too. No, you just deflect by screaming louder and with more insults.. You rarely ever say anything productive, just repeated insults over and over, every day. Will I vote for Trump's reelection? Shit no, he's ruined that with me awhile ago but I'm not voting your angry, left-wing mob into power either.

Anyways, I'm outta this thread. Peace.

I'm really waiting for a solid explanation of any of the trump doctrines that is based on facts that aren't contradicted by mr trump... bonus points if they don't contain obvious 'untruths' or barefaced lies.

The problem that whilst Mr. Bush, Mr. Bush(jnr), Mr Clinton, Mr, Reagan or Mr. Obama DID tell lies sometimes (and sometimes they were big whoppers!) generally what they were saying was truthful... Truth was their default position... and where they didn't know something they wouldn't shout it out loud.

However, with mr trump, the position is reversed... I don't know why, but he appears to shout off anything if there is a crowd and a microphone. Is it true? does it matter??? is his position... and leaves his supporters to either try and do the mental gymnastics afterwards to try and square the impossible circles... OR leaves the others to say "well the Democrats do it too".....

Some Trump supporters default position is just to take any criticism of their president and say "it doesn't matter because the otherside are worse" and somehow without putting any facts/sources/information in that seems to be enough for them.

Dan330, seems to attract this response a lot whenever he mentions what mr trump, has been doing/saying this week

The people who try and do the mental gymnastics, and make it make sense have a much harder time. Because, as the cliche says, "there is always trump tweet" and that tweet always ends up contradicting what mr trump says mr trump believes
https://www.google.com/search?q=there's+a+trump+tweet+for+that.

If you are trying to build a consistent story its harder to do it with lies, than with facts, Unless of course you simply don't give a damn about the truth.

(btw... if anyone can put forward a convincing, consistent, truthful narrative explaining any policy (or speech) from mr trump on a subject, please please do so.... please.... I really want someone to do it (without it turning all Colbert report Colbert) )

hear hear.. well said.

they always try to deflect .. or give "what-about-ism"
if they cant explain the lie.. they point to other past issues.
totally ignoring the present issues.

past has lots of issues with lots of leaders. on both sides.
but they no longer affect our lives.
