Root So I bought a Razr Max

I was one of the guys who lost root when my Bionic updated, so I bought a new phone, it's a Razr Maxx -

I see a lot of root guides for the razr Max, but I'm not sure which ones are up to date. Can someone point me to the proper thread?

Matt's Utility for Jellybean. Run option 3:

This is option 3 above, but it's a simpler program if you don't want all of the bells and whistles:

This is the recommended and preferred custom recovery. It is option 4 above, but also a simpler program because it is just the apk:

Ok so if Im reading several of those right, those won't work on a Razr Max? I tried a couple of them with no luck at all.

If there a simple root process for a Razr MAxx?

All of the guides posted will work with both the RAZR and RAZR Maxx. Now my question is are you on Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) (4.0.4) or Jellybean? Because what I posted are all for Jellybean (4.1.2).
 
do you have a Razr Maxx or a Razr Maxx HD - they're different phones and have different rooting methods.
 
I have the Maxx, once I switched the USB mode to the Camera, it work right away. So I posted about that to help others.

Also worked on my old bionic fwiw
