So, I need a new (old) phone...

The situation is this: I currently have an old Straight Talk-provided LG 290c with a battery that is fading quickly.
Its battery life has always been iffy to begin with, and I've grown more and more bored with the old-school locked down OS and barely-adequate browser. So, I've decided that rather than replace the battery and carry on, I'm just going to pick up an older Android phone and switch to Page Plus.

I was thinking of getting an LG Ally, as my generally good experiences with my 290c have inspired a bit of brand loyalty and the feature set is fairly decent. The price is right too, at $30 for a like-new phone.

However, it's occurred to me lately that there's hardly any community support for it anymore, presumably because of its age and comparatively weak hardware. The Android 2.2.2 limit could prove as troublesome as well. So...thought I'd come here and see if anyone could offer an alternative. I've searched around a bit myself, but nothing has really appealed so far.

Preferable features:
QWERTY keyboard. Tired of messing with the numeric pad for messaging.
Decent screen: 3.5 inches or bigger
$30-$40 on ebay? :v

Must-have features:
Good talk time: 6+ hours of "official" talk time
CDMA support. GSM networks don't have very good coverage out in these rural parts.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: woops, didn't see the subforum. Sorry.
