Only recently have I found that Acer has made a car charger for the Tab100.
A couple of months ago I went looking for a charger - Nothing there other then some fake made in china ones. I thought lets not try that. I heard the Xoom being compared to the Tab100 quite a bit so I cheked out its power settings. Low and behold the input power for both of the Tabs were 12v at 1.5A - So I went and bought the original Xoom charger then replaced the tip/power connector with an acer one which I had lying as spares.
Stuck the car charger into the car... Light on the charger came on to show that it was working. When the car is off then the table was charging however when the car was on the charger would not.
I brought out my trusted multimeter and saw that when the car was on I getting 14 volts and no charge icon on the screen. When the car is off it outputs 12volts and the tab charges fine.
Any1 have any idea how to fix this or maybe whats gone wrong
Anyone want to buy an original xoom car charger. I'll patch up the original tip onto it again.
