So, if I were to want this theme on my droid eris desktop

What steps would I need to follow?

1. Root it. I know how to do that.

2. Then what? Dl a program to make themes? Are these themes available to dl aon the internet? Where do I find them?

Obviously I need some major help here. What do you have to do after rooting your phone?

The general misconception is that you have to root to customize your phone this is SOO not true You don't need to root to do any of this 95 percent of all the themes and Modding you see can be done directly through the market. Basically all you need is to download a "home replacement launcher" that allows customization such as.

Go Launcher

Adw launcher

Adw launcher EX

(And my personal favorite) Launcher Pro

There's also a couple of windows phone 7 style launcher on the market such as "launcher 7" and "metro ui"

After you download any one of those scour this thread and also the market for any supporting apps you might like to go with or help you create the look you're going for.

I personally use

Beautiful Widgets
circle launcher
Launcher pro*****
Widget locker
Handcent
launcherpro icons
Circle battery
Swipe pad

There's also a ton of keyboards on the market to chose from to change your phones look
.

If you're heavy into diferent style icons go here [Collection] ICON SETS | OVER *300* different Icon Packs [INDEX on 2nd post] - xda-developers

Those will all work with Launherpro and ADW maybe GO as well

Personally I've customized my phone so much I sometimes no longer use icons ;-)

Circle launcher and semi folder are awesome icon and folder substitutes so is Swipe Pad and ultimate faves pro.

Anyway start with those and call me in the morning.
