I finally came out of contract and got an unlock code from AT&T.
Entered it last night using the keypad dialer combination code advised in the email. I didn't have a "competitors' SIM" to use last night
Today, I borrowed a VERIZON Sim from a friend. Inserted it, and the phone works and allows me to click into my apps and phonebook etc. However it didn't load up to a mobile data
signal although I did see 5 bars of some "signal" that was unrecognized. I assume this is because my phone is GSM and the Verizon SIM uses CDMA or something.
So is the simple fact that I could enter the phone contacts etc with someone else's SIM in there proof that my phone is now unlocked?
Thanks
