So now we at least have an idea why no updates materialized....

I fail to see how that article tells us why the update hasn't been released. All it says it that a Verizon spokesman said there would be no ICS this weekend, but that it will be released in the future. We already knew that.

it was just in reference for the possible delay of soak test

nothing more

I'm not sure how it does that either. It doesn't mention the soak test. And there's no possible delay for the soak test. The soak test has been delayed. That's confirmed. Plus, the soak test that's been delayed is a Gingerbread bug fix soak test, not ICS (and an ICS update is the focus of the article).

No bad about it. The sharing of information is always appreciated. Just don't want the masses getting all worked up again like this past week with the rumored ICS update by reading into things that aren't actually there. :)

Why would they release an update on Friday of a holiday weekend, tax the network, end up with problems from people borking up the process, and who knows what else...?

And besides, nothing OFFICIAL has been released about updates.

I totally agree, just thought it seemed relevant why the guys partaking in the soak test haven't received it yet.

I for one don't want ICS until 99% of bug's are worked out. That was a big problem for me when gingerbread came out for the Droid X it completely ****** up my X I don't want that to happen with my Maxx.

More to the point why send out a new update when your cs call centers are understaffed.
