So, there's no way to put apps on the SD card?

Like punkzanyj said, as of right now, there is no way to install applications onto an SD card. However, I assume (hopefully correctly,) that it's coming soon.

I hope this is fixed pretty soon. I started running out of space by the 3rd day of ownership not because the number of apps installed but because of the data caching of the apps I was running (OI news in specific). Prior to the rc30 OTA update I could work around the caching issue by redirecting the location of the cache but after rc30 usurped root I am back to micro managing my data space (annoying as he**). I really hope a fix is found because I am about ready to terminate my contract. Here is a link to the latest developer scuttle about this issue: Apps on the SD @ Google Groups

Ugh - I do *not* like the way that discussion is going. Seems like Google's official timeline is putting this feature at around 6months out. That is totally unacceptable and I can't help but contemplate jumping ship back to a WM phone until a G2 or Android-based (G1 like) phone comes out with a 8gb+ of internal storage.

I hope this will come before the ability to execute from the sd card. We need the ability to store install files on sd that can later be installed on system rom. After all, the free apps/games we can place and remove at will. Once we get paid apps we will need to be able to store on sd card so we can install/uninstall at will. the G1's system memory is plenty enough to get you through a day. As long as we can store the apps/games we pay for on the sd card! Please reply with other thoughts on this issue, any Google/Android people reading this please give us the inside scoop!
