So... This is my plan

My last phone was a leased note 5 that I turned in for the note 7. I don't want to get locked into anything for the next two years because I really hope a note 8 comes out soon! So I got a note 4 off eBay and I will use that until something amazing comes out! And I will turn my note 7 in for a full refund and cry the entire time!!!

Im getting the V20 and then wen the N8 comes out if it comes out i will either use another ome of the 4 upgrades on my account or just pay it off so i can get it if i want

Everybody should be getting a refund according to verizon since they already zeroed out the phones on are accounts. They told me that samsung is giving the refunds after you return the phone to them so who knows

The LG V20 looks like a monster. I hope it preforms to expectations.
Just everyone should be careful and wait to see how it pans out. Consider seeing how the pre-order suckers make out using them at first. If they're still around to tell you anything about it after a few weeks, then buy it on Black Friday at a discount if they offer one.

Of late, perhaps it is the prudent stance to "wait and see" how the next crop of phones turns out PRIOR to plunking down cold hard cash for one. Ya know get through the first 60-90 days out in the wild to wait on any .... "anomalies" that might pop up. Like oh I don't know like say explosions, fires, NTSB bans, oh and annoying software or bad user experience.

I just swapped to 7 Edge last night. Planning to keep it until next spring or summer, then just sell it on Ebay and get a new Note 8 or whatever comes along.

Is the refund an option for people with the verizon edge (monthly payment) plan?
I paid taxes on the full price of the phone, but Ive only paid 1-2 months worth on it. So Ive only paid around 80 dollars on a nearly 900 dollar phone.
While there is nothing written, that Ive seen, stating that a refund is not available to everyone/anyone, common sense tells me I cant get the full retail price for turning in my phone.
Is this correct?
Or will they actually pay me 800+ dollars just to get my phone back?

Good question since verizon already said my credit will show up in 1 to 2 billing cycles but then again they tell you samsung is offering full refunds

I have already been credited my device payments for the last 2 months from Verizon on my current bill. Verizon just applied it to my bill, I did not request it. I checked my receipt and I think the sales tax was built into the payment since I got the phone with no payment other than the additional monthly device cost. Assuming you have a Verizonwireless.com account just check your bill. This has been talked about in another thread and it's the same for others as I described. Good luck.

Yup. They will be refunding to your account only what you have paid so far for the phone. As I understand it and this is a gray area mind you, they will charge you full purchase price eventually if you do keep the phone. I have no confirmation of that last bit but I have yet to receive my refund and I paid my device off. They want it back first!
