Software to restore or enhance video quality ?

Hey guys, I wanted to know if anyone knew of any software that could help the quality of a video to be better, I've tried different filters on video editing programs but that doesn't seem to cut it, any ideas?

Can you provide more information?

• What's the source? Is it analog or digital?
• What's the video format, resolution etc.?
• What do you hope to gain?
• Does it need to be transcoded or burned to disk?

I'm doing a lot of video conversion work, from converting old VHS tapes to enhancing broadcast quality HD video. Feel free to pick my brain on this topic.

If your talking about enhancing quality on a digital copy, there really isn't much you can do. Once detail is lost, its gone forever.
