I have the PANTECH Discover. I tried to do the software update when it became available and it just stayed at 0% for almost an hour. So I canceled the process. Next time I turned on my phone I got a notification that the update could not take place. Now when I go to settings and tap check updates it says 'previous session is running. Please try again later'. I've tried turning off my phone and turning it back on, but I get the same notification and same dialog box when I tap check updates. What should I do?

Go to SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > & scroll down until you find "GOOGLE SERVICES FRAMEWORK"

Clear the cache & data, force stop the application if running.

A lot of times this will "reset", for lack of a better term, the update/download process.

The next time you attempt to check for updates, you'll probably see the date "DECEMBER 31,1969" or something akin to it. Don't be alarmed, just proceed w/checking for the update(s).

If you don't receive an update immediately, or, soon thereafter (a couple days or so), a call/visit to AT&T/PANTECH is in order.
