ok debranded my phone and update to rba020 everyone else seems to be on23 but now every time i link phone to computer it updates the software but when finished its still on rba020 any ideas guys as its doing my head in should i delete the foldr from update software completely i used generic uk firmware

If you're debraded, 020 is the correct firmware.
023 etc is for specific networks, for example Vodafone is 024 I believe.
However, if you root the X10, you can get 023 as well. But, for a generic/unbranded/unrooted, 020 is the update you'll have.
With regards to it updating when you connect, idk what that's about. Do you initially update over the air? I did and when I next connected it to the computer, it told me there was an update but, just installed 020 again. But everytime since it tells me i have the latest firmware.
