I've never used Solid Explorer myself, but it looks as though they now have a chromecast plugin which allows you to cast media files directly from the file explorer interface,
Install the plugin, open Explorer, select your media file, then open it with Solid Explorer Cast.
I'm not sure if you need the paid version of Solid Explorer for it to work.
