Help Solution: Bricked? Getting "com.android.systemui has stopped" but can't get into phone at all!

I had the crazy idea to enable developer mode and then switch something else that starts with a D to something that starts with an A in the developer section. When it boots up it starts with `1 of 36 apps being optimized` but then half of them fail and then I get "com.android.systemui has stopped" so that I can`t even get into the phone at all. Nothing. I`ve tried Factory reboot and that didn`t help. Is there anything I can do? Please help. Thanks.

Solution: Unknowingly, the phone was rebooting on its own and it wasn't apparently doing a Factory reset at all.

I'm on Kitkat (sp?) 4.4.4

So, the phone needs to be off and stay off. Then, press the down volume button and the power button at the same time. If nothing happens, release. This will bring you to a menu. Press the down volume button to select. Try the second one from the top first. Then press the up volume button to actually select that item. Do not press the power button here.

Some of the above info may have errors, but this is what I found to work. I couldn't find anyone in this situation on the web after looking for quite a while.
