[Solved] Battery replacement

I have a two year old Blu Studio X (Android 5.02) with a fixed battery of 2100mA, which is reaching the end of its life cycle. I found the replacement battery, but if there is a higher capacity (3000mA?), battery of the same physical size, can I install it instead?

It's not possible to have a higher capacity battery of the same size, assuming the identical chemistry (Li-ion). They are either lying about the specs or it's actually larger and won't fit properly. Your best bet is OEM or an exact replacement with the identical specs.

Fox Mulder, Thanks for the info. I suspected the size issue but know very little about batteries. No one offered me a larger replacement, it was my thought. Thanks again.

The issue became moot since I found out that the battery is no longer available. Not from the manufacturer, who refers parts to an independent BLU parts supplier, at 214-810-4711, or at http://www.bluphoneparts.com/about/, not available on Amazon, or any other independent replacement battery supplier.
