Hey everyone!
I've been having this issue where I cant seem to get TWRP to be flashed onto my phone. I've tried about 4 times now, with all of them getting that DemiGod purple screen error if I try going into recovery mode. Saying that though, it'll still boot into the system fine otherwise, just not recovery mode.
So this is what I've been doing:
1. Rooting my phone using the LG one click root found in XDA (and linked somewhere here I believe).
2. Unlocking bootloader using fastboot (I use devices-info and it does say that it is unlocked after). One thing to note is that on my phone, it'll say: "error: allocating memory for ssd buffer"
3. Use fastboot to flash the recovery.img ("fastboot flash recovery recovery.img").
4. Boot into recovery to find that pesky demigod purple screen of death. (I would then use LG Flash Tool to flash the stock rom back and re-root).
When unlocking the bootloader, I made sure to:
1. Have the phone rooted
2. Have busybox installed
3. Have the USB debugging on & have it set to charge only
My model is the LG D320.
