Root [Solved] Need help getting MD5 (baseband) update to install

OK, after trying all roms, and after trying all avenues of reverting to the original STOCK rom to update OTA, I decided to learn about basebands and roms a bit. I ended up just taking the MB3 to MD5 OTA updater ZIP file, editing the updater_script file to skip verification and anything labeled "recovery", rezipped, and then ran that, then the Stock Deodexed ROM JB, then the Kernel. Now I have the MD5 baseband, and my GPS works wonderfully!

If anybody else has the same issue, let me know and I can post the hacked ZIP I used to get from MB3 to MD5 baseband. Maybe one day I can isolate the correct files to shrink it down to something under 300mb. :-)

I've tried to update the baseband with the above method, but getting errors.

I don't think I edited the updater_script correctly. I tried to use K Rize method in the first post here, but all broken links..

Thanks to Zenwafer I was able to get the update zip though..

If I could find a stock MB3 rom that works, I may be able to install the update.

Thank you for any help!

While trying different ROMs my phone bricked.. won't boot.. just blank screen. I'm still able to get into CWM. :(

I tried to install the update even though I was on 4.1.2 and it worked.. didn't need the hacked script.. should have tried that earlier.. lol

I now have baseband MD5!!!

Special thanks to Zenwafer for uploading the MD5 update, to BlackFire27 for making the Super Stock Restore ROM, to animania260 for the AniKernel v2.3, and to everyone else that works on this phone!

My phone is now working better than new.

Just so you know if you can get into cwm then your phone wasn't bricked, people use the term "bricked" too quickly around here, the fact that the phone didn't boot was the cause of whatever you flashed to it that it didn't like...

I know technically it may not have been bricked.. but to me it was... I'll use crashed or something next time.
