Help [SOLVED - YES] Maxx HD on straight talks CDMA network possible?

Hello, good day

I am switching over to ST and I'd really like to use my Maxx HD there. I've seen threads about using it on ST's GSM service & buying a t-mobile sim card, but is it possible to use it on Verizons (CDMA) network on ST? VZW has better coverage around my area.

If I cannot do that do I need to buy a global GSM sim card to use it within the US?

Another thing I cannot figure out is whether or not it is unlocked from the factory or not. Some threads say yes, some say no. At this point, I do not know what to do to get it on VZW's coverage at this point. All help is welcome.

I apologize if this has already been answered

Go to Straight Talk Compatibility Test put in the phone's IMEI or ESN and it will tell you whether the phone can be used. (It's on an individual, not model, basis.) Technically it looks as if the phone should work on Verizon's towers, the question is whether Verizon will activate that particular phone.

You can use the same phone ESN, and one time choose "unlocked phone", and another time choose "verizon phone," and you will get completely different results, hance my question. That is the question you repeated - whether it will work on verizon towers thru ST.

Unfortunately, if Straight Talk doesn't support it then the only official means are out the window. There is an unofficial way with CDMA flashing, but that is a gray area legally and even if it did succeed, you wouldn't be able to use LTE and Straight Talk could kill service to the device if they wanted to.
