I newly bought a Huawei nova 3i last month. I downloaded some torrents. 1080p/bluray and when I was trying to watch these torrent movies, some movies stuck and lag. I have plent of storage 64GB+ and ram about 1.5GB(phone ram is4GB) i was using vlc. Then i downloaded mx player/kmplayer/ tried on huawei player etc. But no change. They lag.But some 1080p movies play very smoothly. My wife also has the same mobile phone bought on the same day and I tried playing the same movies that lag on her mobile. It also did lag in her mobile as well. I dont know what to do. My main purpose of buying this mobile is watching movies. Im frustated. And this is the firat time im using an android phone in my life and earlier i used all ios. I was very happy with android. But this makes me very upset about it. Please help me.

What format are the videos?
Mp4 will play alot better than mkv files.
Also I'm ignoring your mention of Torrents as that hinders on being piracy

May be the device is just maxing out processor wise.....
Try VLC? This phone should be able to play 1080p HD videos no problem, it's got a Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor, which isn't slow. But given the pirated origin of the videos, possibly they're corrupted? Do they play on a computer aright?
