Help some apps wont fit screen

Hey guys

Before I factory reset my device my apps worked on full screen...I don't know what I did but when I first got my phone the apps wouldn't fit then one day they did..really strange but after a reset its back to not fitting


It gives a big space at the bottom of the screen with a ......

If this makes any sense to you plz help

I think it's in the display settings, is there an option to remove the 3 dot menu? Or have long press recent apps for menu?

I'm not running the stock ROM, so can't check the exact option, sorry.
