Apps Some basic questions all in one.

I am currently working with a app designer located in india.We are almost finshed with the app.For those of you that have done this here are my questions.

1 how do I protect my app from being copied? someone said once it hits the app store you are protected,if not what are the steps?

2 how do I get the app in the store for sale?

3 how does the payment work from the droid and apple market,as far as me the owner getting paid for app sales etc and what percent do they take?

4 I also spoke with a few that say give your app away for free and sell advertising space on it,or just sell the app?Pros cons?

Any help would be great.

answers to some of your questions:

1. don't know

2 & 3. http://market.android.com/publish/signup

4. It's your choice. You can either go with a paid app or go with a free ad-supported app.
