Some conversations in Messages show an alarm bell icon, others don't

I see that in Messages I can select a conversation, go to People & Options & change the color of the contact's messages. Is there a way to make it so all messages from all people are one color without having to manually change each one?

Well, that depends ..what messaging app do you use? Perhaps provide your device make/model/carrier/Android version too please.
Each messaging app may have different places to make changes to it ya know?

I may or may not be able to help, but I'm sure others can.

I'm using a Pixel 2 with Oreo 8.0, and the stock Messages app that comes with Oreo. Thanks.
