Some first impressions...

It's a beautiful black slab. The back color really doesn't matter. :)
Arrived with 71% charge :)
Feels good in my hand. :)
Sound is great, loving the woofer :)
Fast charge is really fast. 29% in about 47 minutes :)
Fast transfer is really fast. :)
You need to put in the SIM card first for smooth setup :(
HTC did not include an eject tool in my box. I had to use my girlfriend's earring. Bad HTC :(
Apps started updating before I even installed any of my own. 24 apps had to update before I could start :(
Using Poweramp I'm getting little glitches at the start of each track when playing music as an album :(

So far it's a pleasure to use.

I'll take another look at the box the manuals came in when I get home but I think I would have noticed that. Anyway the earring worked fine.

Another 1st impression:
Phone calls are crystal clear on both ends.

I like the HTC 10 a lot, except for the fact that the HTC Transfer Tool and the HTC Sync Manager do not work; and I am unable to move my "stuff" from my old HTC One to the HTC 10.

Sadly, several go-rounds with HTC Support Techs have shown they don't have a clue; and they have not been able to help me fix it.

If I can't move my stuff, I will probably return the phone for credit and go back to my HTC One. Sad! :(

I am getting my HTC 10 for fathers day. I got to wait a little while for it, but I can't wait to get it. It will be my first HTC device so I'm excited to see what all sense has to offer.

I'd love it if you guys could post some screenshots of the settings menus and anything else so I can get a feel for what to expect.

One thing I noticed is the front speaker does not do as much as I thought it would I assume to make it sound balanced when watching from the front

Happy Father's Day. The HTC 10 is my first HTC product and I love it. While you're waiting for your phone watch this video and read this article.

A few more things I want to note are the speakers sound better than the m9 just slightly not as balanced as the 9. Also the light sensor is above the front speaker just not visible like on other phones.

Definitely Loved It, My husband have personalized it and although he loved his M8 (Helen as a nickname) he is much more in love with Hortense (HTC10) bigger screen, incredible resolution, cristal clear sound. We are fans of HTC, although I couldn' t wait for it's release so I got me an LG G5 that had similar specs. Although LG is doing great, HTC 10 have my heart.

Quick Charge makes the phone get really hot while charging but it cools off almost immediately after reaching 100%, Battery Widget reborn had the phones temperature at 100° while charging and 72° when at rest. While warm when charging it's not to hot to hold.

I'm using Sony MDR7506 large diaphragm headphones and Poweramp. The music sounds great. I haven't setup a sound profile yet though. That should be an interesting experience.

That was a revelation! I tuned the headphones with a personal profile and left everything in Poweramp flat. It actually sounded better than the usual Rock profile with the preamp pushed up a few notches I used to use.

Speaking of charging... I've been using my old Samsung Power plug with the HTC 10's USB cable and it still seems to charge faster than my M8 did. I don't get any Quick charge message but it seems really fast.

24 hours and I like it so far. The only thing that bothers me is with the dual speakers removed, the back and app switching buttons are right against the edge of the phone. When in landscape, I keep hitting the back button accidentally.

Battery seems to drain a little faster than my m8, but nothing too alarming.

No Quick Settings customization options kind of sucks. I'd like 3 spot brightness controls in that panel like I had it on my M8. The slider is okay but I'm never happy with my results. I guess this is one case where more is less.

Yessiree...................JMHO,HTC went a bit overboard w/leaning up Sense8.
Still a nice phone, the positives outnumber the negatives 20 to 1 or so.......................
