First off iIwould like to say sorry I haven't been active lately its because i got caught up with a bunch of stuff.
From facebook:
anyway last night i got to talk to motorola assitant manager mark.and i asked him when will the cliq xt get eclair(2.1)?and he says."it is in the works and we dont know when will it be realeased.

But that wasnt my only question I also asked will the cliq xt get gingerbread (2.3) in the near future?and he says"2.1is gonna be its first update,2.2 is a long shot but the cliq xt will get it."heres the sad part and he also says."the cliq xt will not get gingerbread."

So overall I am a bit upset that the xt wont get gingerbread, but I am happy it will get ecliar and froyo.

Not to piss on your post but you are sad that the XT won't go to 2.2? I'm amazed that any company could operate as badly as Moto with 2.1 for the XT. How many companies can't meet two of their own deadlines, might not meet their third revision and even if they do hit their 2nd "guess" (which is not looking good) it is in the last few days of the 3 month time frame. So... did _anyone_ here _really_ expect Moto would work on 2.2? I think it was a given that everyone knew it would never happen... at least not in our lifetime.

Idk but he said 2.1 was close Q2 but they had to fix it.
