Help Some issues since last update.

Hi everyone. I've been reading through the stickied thread about some issues I'm having since the last update, just looking for some more tips.

Since I updated, I get Hangouts crashing every 5 minutes, even when it's only running in the background, I still get the force close message pop up. I searched on Google but most of them are quite old.
I understand that some apps might not carry across properly, but hangouts is a quite a popular app so I'm pretty sure they would have prepared. Anyone else getting this?

Also my music player is bugged even before the update but worse now. Before the update o had a bug were I couldn't go back to the playlist. Say I was listening to the song, and I had that specific song on the screen, if I pressed back, it would go back to the playlist then immediately back to the song so I had to either swipe all the way to the song I wanted or exit the app and then go back to the playlist.
A temporary fix would be force closing it but it would come back after 5 minutes.

It seems to have become less of an issue now but one thing I am getting is my music player just stops and seems to restart itself at random. I'll be listening to a song and it will just pause, when I press play it goes back to the beginning. One time I did see it, the widget seemed to be refreshing the list as if it had restarted. Any advice for this? Is it a corrupt update?

When the update was released, I tried doing it abroad, I tried the hotel WiFi but after about 2 hours it was on 10%, so I went to a restaurant and after finishing my 3 course meal plus a desert and a drink it was again only on about 60%, so I finally did I lt when I got back. Could the failed updates be the cause?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums MilesCZ!

Have you taken any measures to rectify these faults such as wiping the individual apps cache and data or wiping the phone's cache partition or even doing a Full Wipe+Factory Data Reset. All of these are discussed in S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide.

Hi! And thank you! I haven't yet, a hangouts and music player are default apps I'm more limited than others, I've cleared cache where applicable and got no luck with that.
I'm a bit reluctant to do a full factory wipe for now for 2 main reasons. I've wiped many computers before but I've never done a phone so I risk messing it up and physically don't have time to do it, as well as the level of security on my phone is really complex due to my job, and would take me ages to set back up again. I'll try the cache partition soon. I was hoping someone else had a solution to these apps, everything else about my phone is fine, it's just these two. I had a brief look at the thread.

Thanks for the help!
