SOME videos will not play (audio only)

I have a samsung galaxy s 2. I just transfered some short video clips to my phone from my hard drive of some of my vacations. Only a few of them will play on my phone. The others, when you click on it, it only plays the audio. They are all AVI files. A message comes up saying " play audio data only". How do I fix this??

Are you using the stock video player?

I'd try something like MX Player or Dice Player. Both have been pretty good at playing any format of file I've wanted them to.
