Newbie
I'm a little worried.

Something on my phone keeps saying 'sending' down the bottom middle in a black box. about every 5 mins. i have almost stripped my phone back to default by removing apps to figure whats doing it?

what it sending what? is this normal?
I've run avast virus scan but everything appears ok?

Sometimes when my screen goes dim to turn off, it brightens up again and says sending again?:mad:

I've attached a screenshot. its not good. its even waking up my phone from lock screen, bypassing security to do it!!!!

wtf!? anyone?

it cant be email

Hi Fourther,
If you long press menu and go into task manager, does it say anything is running under 'Active Apps'?
What about in the gmail/email app, is anything sitting in your outbox?
Have you tried to upload a video to a social networking site like facebook, flickr, etc ?
Have you got a solid wifi/3g/data connection for something to send?

Also, is it possible to list the 'non-stock' apps you've got on the phone so we can see if there's anything odd/dubious that stands out to someone on the forums?

Hope those suggestions help diagnose the problem.

i have turned off and on my phone a few times now.
im slowly disabling every service possible 2 by 2 to try figure out whats causing it. not looking good so far, its down to about 5 services left, which all seem to be stock.

i dont have the stock email app enabled as im using moxier mail but ive also disabled that.

ill upload a list of apps ive got installed soon.

no i havent tried to upload anything :(

So after removing nearly all apps one by one with the problem still occuring, i decided to hard reset my phone back to defaults.

Without installing anything it was STILL 'Sending'

It came down to my SIM card. As soon as i removed it it stopped.

I realised that, the day this problem started, i transferred all my google contacts to my blank sim card.

It must have been sending my contacts to the 'OPTUS' server or something?

I deleted all Sim contacts and now issue is resolved...

Still, this is a big security flaw and a weird one at that.
When my phone woke up to 'sending', i could touch my screen and it would therefore bypass my security gaining me access to everything on the phone..

Im not sure if it is an OPTUS thing or what?
Ill just stick to phone contacts instead of SIM
