Help something not right w battery life

I did the jb update a week ago and battery has definitely suffered. My wife and I both have exact same phone with virtually same setup. We have not yet updated her phone.
We were both charging every other day, now I charge daily and she is still every other. I did do a cache clear but avoiding FDR so far.
Under battery usage I notice that my phone's stats on Android OS and Standby are double what hers are. I read somewhere that vz people said that the signal was "turned down" for jb.
Also I notice some differences with the location preferences. It looks like Google is trying to have better access to my location. We do not use the GPS location choice

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

my battery had issues after the update too. i found the solution to be letting it fully drain - down to 1% or so, charge it back up, and reboot the phone.

fixed it for me and now i get my usual 36 hours out of a single charge.

the post in the are you having problems thread

had a problem installing the OTA, used Matt's utility instead. since i was going to root anyway i wasn't too worried about it. did my data reset and been smooth as project butter ever since.

I'm finding my battery is acting different since the patch as well. It's fine all the way down to 25% or so. Then it will rapidly drain from 25% to zero in less than an hour. And I'm not even doing anything to drain it. I'll turn the screen on and see the battery at 20%. Next minute it suddenly changes to 13%. Then next minute I get my 10% warning. If I don't turn the screen off ASAP, I get my 5% warning.

It's like my gas tank. When I fill it up, it stays at the full mark for over one hundred miles before I see it move. Then when I'm at a quarter tank, it moves really fast to empty lol.

BTW draining battery was the answer....no more problems

You would think with all of this tech that something like that could be automatic. I now understand that it is some sort of battery conditioning. But why the heck doesn't some app or phone just do it
