Songs related to country fairs, carnivals or Merry-go-rounds?

I see around here a lot of really savvy people, from techs, culture geeks, musicians, DYIers and so on. So I guessed that maybe someone here who happens to see this post has some knowledge about folk and traditional songs (mostly english, irish, american are the most familiar in USA). I've been looking for this particular song that I can't get out of my head, it must be the most default song used in cartoons, tv shows, games maybe, when it comes to the characters looking or stumbling at a fair, or carnival for the first time, you know, that music that comes from the attraction games or perhaps a musical merry-go-round, it must be really old, I think I can remember hearing it a couple of times in such old cartoons like Merrie Melodies. It sounds like some kind of waltz, but I'm not sure. I heard to all of the samples from this CD but none of them matches this particular tune:

Catch The Brass Ring: Old Fashioned Merry-Go-Round Music - Authentic Band Organ | Songs, Reviews, Credits, Awards | AllMusic

But it's something really similar. And for those who feel nostalgic by all this, here:

A few come to mind.
"Life is a carnival" by The Band
"Tight Rope" by Leon Russell
"For the benefit of Mr. Kite" The Beatles
"The Carosel Broke Down" Todd Rindge
"Circus" by Argent
"The W.S. Walcott Medicine Show" The Band

There were tons if traditional circus music albums for years....

Hey onemat, those are some good songs, but they are fairly "new" compared to the song in question, it's my guess that this song may be from the 19th century, but who knows.

Smokey Robinson & the Miracles - Tears of a Clown
Stylistics - Sideshow
The Everly Brothers - Cathy's Clown
