Help Sony Ericsson X10 mini problem.

I am having a major problem with my Sony Ericsson X10 mini.

I bought it today, the phone seems to work perfectly, but.....

I called my wife today, since i was going to be late for dinner, and she couldent hear anything i said, i basically had to shout into the microphone, and that annoys me, really.

I can see from here, that i have version (2.1) on my xperia 10 mini, and ive heard that some other people have had their problems with the 2.1 update, is that really true?

If not, what do i have to do, can this be fixed, or is it out buying a new phone?

Does this only happen when calling your wife? or is this related to all contacts within the handset?.

I would first suggest maybe taking the handset back to the place of purchase if this happens with every contact.

wolex have you tried cleaning the microphone manually. I think the problem might be due to dust accumulation.
