Sony Keypad/Remote can't conrol Sharp TV

I've attempted to get my keypad/remote to control my Sharp LC-46SBN57UN TV but its not working for the 3 codes it recommends.
Called up sony and they said it might come in a software update. Not that big of an issue for me as i control my volume via my home theater system and rarely switch inputs.

But is anyone else having a similar issue?

Better yet. Lets start a list of TVs/AVRs/DVRs etc that are not currently supported.

Sony Blu-Ray GoogleTV NSZ-GT1
Remote/Keypad NSG-MR1
Sharp LC-46SBN57UN (Not Supported.. yet)

guess everyone has got theirs working alright yet on the sony support forum there are other people having trouble getting it to work on some tvs.

I emailed sony the other day and well, heres their reply

Thank you for contacting Sony Support.

I'm sorry that the supplied codes for Television do not work on the Remote Control Keypad. If the supplied codes do not work, you can try the codes listed for other manufacturers. Often, the manufacturers share similar IR frequency. If none of the codes work, please use the supplied Remote Control of the TV.
