Sony "Super Phone" Spotted with 13MP Camera, LTE
Sony Ericsson -- or simply Sony starting early next year -- is reportedly getting ready to reveal the LT28at, a high-end "super phone" which could possibly play host to Intel's upcoming "Medfield" Atom.
Details surrounding the device are minimum at best save for a small bit of information listed on the Bluetooth SIG site. The super phone will don the Xperia branding and sport a hefty 13MP rear-facing camera, leading to the speculation that Intel's Medfield chip could be involved. An HD 720p front-facing camera will also be present for high-quality video conferencing or other video-based activities.
Naturally the phone will sport Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, but it will also feature 802.11 b/g/n connectivity on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Dual microphones will also be present for noise suppression and stereo recording. Other features include a 4.55-inch HD "Reality Display" (720p) and support for LTE (TD-SCDMA, HSPA).
As Sony hasn't officially announced the phone, there's no telling when we'll see the actual specs. However we expect to hear more about this "super phone" in February during Mobile World Congress 2012.
