I received a new Pixel on Tuesday. I tried streaming music from the Google Play Music and TuneIn apps. The sound was good, but coming only from the left speaker. When I place my thumb over the left speaker the sound is significantly reduced and muffled. When I place my thumb over the right speaker, the sound is not effected. This seems to me to be a defect. Has anyone noticed if sound is coming from both speakers or just one?

It only has one speaker, it's the design not a defective device.

They are right, many phones have this same design.
Anyways it's useless to put two speakers on the bottom of the device, some phones have a speaker on top and other at the bottom, it's the only solution that works, the sound is balanced and clear when you use the phone horizontally.
