Help sound notification issues

Had Jellybean 4.1.2 and all was good. Recently rooted and have 4.2.2 cm 10.1ROM. For some reason I cannot change my notification sounds within gmail and stock mail for my two mail accounts and texts etc just get default sound set from sounds menu.
Gmail option for notification just says "default ringtone (in3sringtone)" which is my ringtone but press and try and change this from the cm stock sounds and nothing happens.

Can anyone help with this really annoying issue?

Try going back to stock, then root again. I'm assuming that you already tried rebooting.

Glad it worked out for you. Try the latest ParanoidKangdroid rom. I've been running it for over a month, and it's sweet!
