I recently purchased the 4G Galaxy S3 in Australia (from Telstra) and when I transferred tv episodes (that work perfectly well on my computer and iPhone 4s) in a variety of different formats the results were always the same: barely audible sound.
When I play music on the device (earphones or inbuilt speaker) I have absolutely no problem, so I presume this must be a software issue. I have tried the stock media player, along with VLC media player.
I have tried apps such as equalizer and set all the settings to max - this DID help, however not anywhere near loud enough.
Just to clarify - this occurs both when using the device's inbuilt speaker and through earphones connected via the phone's 3.5mm AUX jack. I've tried several different types of earphones, including the ones that came with the phone - to no avail.
I'm terribly disappointed, as one of the primary reasons I purchased this phone was to take advantage of the large screen by watching TV on the go.
Help would be VERY much appreciated!
Thanks!
