Help Sound Problem on s6

Ever since I updated to Android Marshmallow a few weeks ago, I've been having a problem with my sound. The problem is whenever I am listening to music and/or watching a video and I adjust the media volume, the song or the video will immediately pause. Was this a feature added in Marshmallow and if so, is there a way to disable said feature.
