sound profile bug

yankies90

Newbie
I have been using my galaxy S7 since the last Thursday.
What bothers me is this software bug.
so, I drag down the notification panel and click on the sound profile button to change my galaxy into vibration mode.
Then, when I receive calls from people, my phone still rings!

I tried everything pretty much.
I even did factory reset.

Still, it's not fixed.

Is this just me?
I pre-ordered my phone from T-mobile...
Is there any way to fix this problem?
Or, should I just get it replaced?

Yes I experimented this already.. and if I do that, it works just fine.
But I want to fully utilize this phone.
I guess no one is having this problem.
I even called samsung support and they are not aware of this problem.

And even if I return my phone, T mobile will likely charge 50 dollars as a restocking fee...

I don't know what to do!

I should really try 3rd party app for this.
Because I actually got new GS7 from T mobile today and it still does not work!
That sound profile button on the notification bar doesn't mute or put this phone into vibration mode.
I don't know what to do...
Really, no one person has this symptom except me?

I have the same problem. It may be a T-Mobile issue as there is a thread in their support forum with a few people reporting the issue. I was going to get a new phone, but it sounds like that didn't help you. I noticed when I used the Quick Setting to silence the phone, if I hit the volume rocker the volume slider was turned up even though the speaker icon indicated silent, so maybe that's part of the issue. Manually turning down the volume does work for me, so that's what I'll do. I never use vibrate, so I can't speak to that issue.
