Sound Routing

I would like to route all sounds from my phone through a headset and/or Bluetooth. I have tried every method I know how and Soundabout app does not work on Android Oreo. The problem is when I have my headphones plugged in ( or Bluetooth connected) ringtones and notifications still play through the speakers (and the earpiece at the same time) This has been an issue with smartphones since like forever. (never had this issue with old flip phones). I paid for the pro version of Soundabout and it worked perfectly on my LG G4 (on Android Marshmallow). Just wondering if anybody out there has found a way to combat this (apps I've tried: Macrodroid, Soundabout, Audio Router)

So you do not want notification sounds to come through bluetooth, just music? Or all sounds through bluetooth and not the earpiece also?

I guess if I'm understanding correctly, (as I'm typing this ) your sounds not only come through via bluetooth, but also the earpiece, which is undesirable.

Ah, "earpiece" as in earbuds or something. I thought "earpiece" as in the speaker on the phone when you hold it to your ear.

Sorry, I'm a little daft sometimes.

So, sound via bluetooth speakers and sound through earbuds (earpiece) when plugged into the 3.5mm headphone jack.
