Speaker Volume

Is it just me or is the speaker in no way loud enough? I have a stupid flip phone for work and the speaker blows me away from a across the room. I can barely show someone a youtube video unless it's perfectly quiet. I have all the volumes turned to max

Not to mention that I was super disappointed that the recording at concerts didn't even come close to the iphone 4 :/
