I recently found a neat little game called SpecTrek, in which you track ghosts on your GPS and have to use the camera to capture them in order to gain experience and levels. It looked cool when I first downloaded it a few days ago, but the second I actually had a chance to get outside today and try it out, I had to buy the full version.
My first game was a little rough, being mostly in a residential area in the middle of the night. I didn't want to creep around in strangers' backyards, but the game did a pretty decent job of keeping the ghosts obtainable from the streets. Things got really fun when I took it downtown into an area that's mostly for shops and college buildings. I found myself racing around and trying to get the ghosts before time ran out, which was a blast.
I'm only level two so far, which grants me upgrades to how far I can scan for and capture ghosts, but I'm looking forward to all the awards and added bonuses await me after some more extended play. I'm also extremely curious about the items that seem to be hidden about, which are always revealed to me after the round is over. I've yet to track one down, so I have no idea what they do.
Anyway, I thought I would hopefully bring some attention to this game and see if anyone else has as much fun with it. I'm also curious about any interesting stories you may have, either about the purpose of the items and behavior of higher level ghosts or just some funny trespassing tales. If you haven't tried SpecTrek yet, you can get the Lite version for free in the Market (which limits you to level 3, I think, but one game was enough for me to decide I wanted the full version) and you can get the full version for a bit less than $3.
