Speed real-time recording

I'm new here, so I don't know if I'm doing this right...

Current android version: 6.0
Phone: Moto G 3rd gen

My apologies, I've asked around the biking groups I am a member of, and no-one has heard of an app like this. So here's my request.

What I would like is an app that records my speed.

Now, before we start, I know there are apps that record speed, but the ones I have found record it as a graph.

What I want is the actual speed, seen as a display, recorded to a video file.
With the file created, I can add it to my go-pro footage in the bottom corner, so as well as having a video of the ride, I also have the speed I am doing at that point displayed.

I have the program I need to mix the 2 videos exactly as I want, and can achieve this by having one camera on the clocks and another pointing forward, but it looks crappy.
I can also have an app that shows a digital representation of my speed, and a second camera recording that, but I would much prefer an app I can turn on, stick into my inside pocket and it records the speed I am doing as a video file.

The current app I use is "DigiHUD Speedometer, and has a nice, crisp and clear digital speedometer display. This is the type of thing I want, only I want it to record real-time to a video file.

The video filesie can be quite small, and does not need to be a huge resolution as it will be used as a thumbnail in the corner of the main video.
I record PAL, 1280 x 720 25fps on the Go-Pro if that makes a difference.

Are any of you talented enough to either find an app like this that has already been made? or even make the app for me?
